An adapted signalization for the pipelines transporting dangerous fluids

A reminder of the work code has been made in order to prevent the risks of explosion of employees to dangerous products

In fact, the operators are asked to identify the fluids in their pipelines through an appropriate signage, which includes the name of the fluid, a pictogram that takes the color code (Norm NF X08-100) as well as the designation of the sense of flow.

In addition to the prevention of the risks for employees, this measure has for objective to secure the site in order to:

• Facilitate eventual mistakes during maintaining actions
• Facilitate the access to the rescue in case of an incident
• Facilitate the formation of new arrivals

(2): Standard NF X08-100: Its purpose is to fix the conventional colors allowing the identification of the families of fluids (liquids, gases …) circulating in the pipes and, for some of them, the identification of the fluids And their condition.
